Terzo album in studio dei 30 Seconds to mars, "This is war" in italiano "Questa è guerra", è un album composto da 12 tracce musicali molto ben studiate e soprattutto con uno sguardo verso il futuro.
L'album esce a 4 anni di distanza dal loro ultimo lavoro discografico "A Beautiful Lie".
