Quinto album in studio per i Counting Crows, il gruppo californiano divide virtualmente il cd in due parti, che sono apppunto: Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings. I primi sei brani sono dedicati al Saturday Nights e sono orientati verso la musica rock mentre gli altri restanti otto brani appartengono al Sunday Mornings e sprizzano l'occhio ad un genere più country.
